MTR & About

Image hosted by Photobucket.comThese pictures are inside the MTR, which is their main transportation system here. It is so convenient to get around, in fact, most people don't even own cars. You can see how crowded it can get though... The rest of them are from out and about in the area... I couldn't believe I found a Starbucks so I had to take a picture of it!

So here are some more pics of HKDL... All we did this day was walk around in the pouring rain. It rains every day here all day... either that or it's deathly hot. You can see how happy Jeff and I look in the picture of us standing in the rain. If you look at the pic of Cinderella's Carroussel, you can notice that it is covered in bamboo scaffolds. This is how the do all their scaffolding here, bamboo! Even in the tall skyscrapers... The other pictures are at the HKDL Ferry Dock. The guy standing with me in the picture is Gary, who is head of Custodial here at HKDL. If you click on the pic, you can see Hong Kong Island in the background.

HKDL!

So here are some pics from the park! It is so blazingly hot, I sweated more on this day that I have any other day in nasty Florida weather. The people on the picture are my team here, It's Jeff (DL) Carl (WDW), Dave (DL), sweaty me, and Charlie (WDW). Jeff and I are in charge of everything that's days, so i'll be pretty much working with just him.

China Days 1-3

So here it is! my first pics from HK! That first one in case you can't tell from the deathly look in my face is right after getting off the 20 hr flight to get here... The other pic is from this tram we need to get on to go to baggage claim, it was my first impression of chinese signs, but of course when i snapped the picture it turned to English!

The rest of the pics are from the beautiful view that i have out of my apartment. Most people have apartments in the lower floors, but for some reason I got lucky with the 22nd! so this is what i get to look at every morning. That huge pool is the largest outdoor pool in HK, which we happen to have right here.. we have all sorts of amenities (which i probably won't get to experience) like racquetball courts, tennis court, gym, etc etc... The best amenity though, the doorman that opens the door for me out of the lobby every morning!
